Good news – that strong grip is exactly what it's meant to do, and it's normal for it to feel very strong the first couple uses. If the pull-tab won't release it, pry up one edge of the suction cup with your finger to break the seal, then lift off.
Will HyperMount stick to leather style dashboards after its treated with Armoral or leather treatment?

No, this type of treatment leaves behind a residue which prevents the VacuLock system from sticking to the surface. If you have done this treatment, you must completely clean and remove the surface treatment before use.
